Alberta Cook, Brenda's mother, painted the alluring winter scene which helped inspire our midwinter album.
Below: We are lucky to know Impressionist painter gita Lloyd. Our first three CD covers feature her original paintings, woven into the full jacket design by her musician/writer husband, David Nigel Lloyd. So first, click on a cover below to see the original! CATCHING THE MOONCOIN
EVEN HOTTER WATER

The Cafe story: Brenda, looked at her print of "Cafe at Night" and said, pointing, "I want that. With us in it!" gita totally understood! The people at the tables are our friends and family. And, of course, Vincent.

The Mooncoin story: Again, Brenda was gita's inspiration. She loved the Mooncoin jig, and imagined a celestial bounty raining down from the orb. Undeterred by the er, rather prosaic Gaelic translation, "Con's Bog", Brenda persisted, and again, gita made it real.

The Even Hotter Water portrait story: After several concepts and a couple of attempts at a similar "album cover art" painting, gita just tossed all preconceptions and showed up at one of our gigs with easel and a pile o' paints in hand. We were all blown away, and thrilled to see what we feel on stage, in visual form. gita's one concession to forethought: She picked hues reminiscent of coffee and tea!
